My name is Sally Wilkinson your holiday director. I was a teacher for 25years. On moving to South Africa I wanted to share my lovely location with people who would appreciate it's beauty - artists. I ventured into internet marketing following my interest in painting and partnered up with a really good art tutor
Gill Van Wyk a tutor/artist with 15 years experience, an
honors degree and a wealth of knowledge which she enthusiastically
imparts including informative extras about the animals, the environment and
the Zulu culture. Gill has exhibited and sold paintings to people in
places as far flung as Austria, Australia and the UK
We then joined with
Cindy de Vries a tour operator with 20 years experience, renowned
for the concern she shows her client's. Cindy and her team always
take the greatest precautions to maximize safety and comfort.
Although you can always be assured of our best service unfortunately
misdemeanors can happen no matter where you are in the world however
Cindy has a brilliant safety track record.
Together we can bring you the best quality holiday possible, and are
united in our desire to share a love of this stunning country with
its treasure chest of beautiful scenery with appreciative artists
like you

Gill Van Wyk our resident artist/tutor, will offer guidance, coaching and encouragement throughout each painting session and will be available well into the evening to chat to so you can benefit from her years of

☑
You will be with international companions who have similar aspirations to talk painting with.
☑
Your non-painting partners are very welcome to join you as there is plenty for them to do even while you are painting

You’ll stay in beautiful twin en suite rooms in stunning settings.
☑
You will eat scrumptious fresh meals suitable for your dietary needs
☑
You’ll even have one breakfast in the bush followed by a painting session in the conservancy
☑
You’ll enjoy moonlight evenings listening to the sounds of the wild - cicadas, a lion roaring, hippo laughs, a breeze through the grass and much more....
☑
You will visit two world heritage sites of natural beauty, vast tracts of bush land where the famous Big Five live, exquisite sandy beaches that stretch forever, dams and whimsical Drakensberg mountain regions
And much, much more!
Testimonials:
I had painted in oils for years and it was Gill who introduced me to watercolour painting gently coaxing me into
uncharted areas and allowed me to realize a new part of myself. I now thoroughly enjoy my watercolours and our plein air painting trips. I’ve been on 2 already both of which were thoroughly enjoyable and inspiring.
Judy Nudds, South Africa |
Gill is a genuine, easy going person always fun to be around. She inspires me to be better and guides my art without being over-bearing.
Celeste Wagner, South Africa |
A tasteful stay, morning views like no other
MG, SA |
Thank you for a memorable few days in a wonderful setting unforgettable food.
FF, UK |
One of the hidden gems of SA, spectacular lodge, friendly staff, fascinating tour, the perfect gathering place
MD, USA |
Do pass on my kindest regards to your great team of tour guides and drivers. We consider them to be most excellent.
David Evans, UK |
The whole trip was extremely well organized and the accommodation first class. We have traveled widely and enjoyed
the ‘ministrations’ of extremely capable and well informed representatives such as those employed by Tauck in the United States. None has been as outstanding as Cindy. Her skills as a tour manager
were incomparable the best we have ever experienced.
Sarah & Gordon Appelbe, York |
The attention both of you gave to ensure that everyone’s individual requirements were catered for was much appreciated by everyone and me in particular.
With many members of my group now wishing to repeat the tour next year, it speaks volumes for the hospitality that we found on this our first visit to South Africa.
John Prichard, Buckinghamshire England
